The Value of Mentorship
Together we can continue the preservation and evolution of these valuable health care
practices that have benefited human health for thousands of years.
Traditionally acupuncture and East Asian medicine was passed down from generation to
generation through mentoring and apprenticeships. Modern standardized education systems
have made this valuable process of imparting wisdom and knowledge less common. As the
profession of acupuncture becomes more established and the number of practitioners in
Washington state grows, the opportunities for a student or new practitioner to find seasoned
acupuncturists and herbalists to learn from are increasing. Currently there is no established
way to connect students or new practitioners with willing experienced practitioners.
Any level of involvement will surely be appreciated weather it is answering a new
practitioner's questions over the phone or offering an extended mentorship. If you would be
interested in mentoring new graduates please contact us.
