WEAMA Committees

It is essential for members to get directly involved if we are to fully actualize the opportunities and adequately address the challenges that now face our profession. There is a limit to what the board alone can do. We would like to encourage more participation through committee involvement.

Getting involved through Committees:
"Change will always happen, and if you want things to go favorably, it is essential to get involved."

If you feel strongly about an issue or would like to contribute your time to the organization just for fun, creating or joining a committee is a great way to get involved. In this way, you can choose a level of commitment that feels appropriate to your busy lifestyle. Joining a committee is also a great first step to getting acquainted with the board, especially if you have hopes of getting nominated to run for a seat on the Board in the future.

WEAMA, formerly WAOMA, now has a stronger foundation of support to assist members throughout the state in getting involved in an action committee. For many of us there are parts of our business that are frustrating and this propels us into action. Others might simply feel that it is time to give back to the profession in a way that gets you out of your office and working with others in your field on the issues that are important to you. Change will always happen, and if you want things to go favorably, it is essential to get involved.
